Quick answers to popular questions about Conlink Messenger
Conlink Messenger is a next‑generation cloud messenger built for speed, security and privacy. All your messages, files and settings are stored in a secure cloud and sync instantly across every device – computer, tablet or smartphone. Just open a browser and your entire communication world is already there, with no apps to install or complicated setup.
We combine the speed of modern cloud technology with advanced encryption, so you can communicate quickly, comfortably and completely securely.
Yes, Conlink Messenger is completely free for all users. We don't show ads, sell your data to third parties or impose paid subscriptions. Our goal is to create a truly free and secure space for communication.
Conlink Messenger works in any modern browser – on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Thanks to our cloud architecture, you don't need to install anything: just open the website, log in, and all your chats, contacts and files are already there.
Your message history, media files and settings sync instantly between all your devices in real time. Start typing on your phone – continue on your computer right where you left off.
Registration takes less than a minute and does not require a phone number. Click "Start chatting", enter your email address and create a strong password. You'll receive a confirmation code by email – enter it and your account is ready.
We deliberately avoided phone number binding so you can remain as anonymous as possible. No SMS, no sharing of personal data.
No, phone number is not required. Conlink Messenger works solely through email. This is a key feature of our messenger – we value your anonymity and do not collect unnecessary personal data.
All notifications, recovery codes and important messages are sent to your email. You can use any address – as long as you have access to it.
On the login page, click "Forgot password?". We will send a special password reset link to your associated email. Follow the link, create a new password – and access is restored.
We recommend using a strong password and storing it in a password manager.
End‑to‑end encryption (E2EE) is a technology where messages are encrypted directly in your browser and decrypted only on the recipient's device. Even we, as platform developers, have no technical ability to read your correspondence.
Encryption keys are generated and stored only on your devices. This means absolute privacy: your communication belongs only to you and your recipient.
Only you and your recipient. Thanks to end‑to‑end encryption, no third party – hackers, government agencies, or even our team – can access your messages.
We also don't require a phone number, which makes your account maximally anonymous. Your email is the only identifier, and even that is stored encrypted.
In Settings → Devices & sessions you see a full list of all active logins: browsers, devices, IP addresses and last activity time. You can instantly terminate any session with one click or disconnect all except the current one.
We automatically notify you about new logins to your account, so you always know if someone is trying to gain unauthorised access.
Yes. Press and hold a message (or right‑click in the web version) and choose "Edit" or "Delete". When deleted for everyone, the message disappears permanently from both your side and the recipient's – even if they already read it.
All edits and deletions are also protected by end‑to‑end encryption and sync instantly across all your devices.
Press and hold the microphone icon in the input field. Recording starts instantly, and when you release, the message is sent automatically. In the web version, you can also record by click with pre‑listen before sending.
Voice messages are transmitted in compressed encrypted format, so they use minimal data and are stored securely.
Secret chat is a conversation with maximum protection. It uses end‑to‑end encryption with additional restrictions: messages cannot be forwarded, and they auto‑delete by timer for both participants with no recovery possible.
Secret chats are ideal for discussing sensitive information: passwords, financial data, personal photos and other information that should not remain in history.
You can add up to 10,000 participants in one group. Thanks to Conlink's cloud architecture, even such large groups work stably and fast – messages are delivered instantly regardless of the number of participants.
For large communities, we recommend using channels with unlimited audience and extended administration tools.
Group administrators can delete messages from any participant, ban and unban users, appoint other admins with flexible permissions, pin important messages, configure message and media sending rights, and manage group visibility.
In a group, all participants can write messages, reply to each other and communicate freely. In a channel, only the administrator (or designated editors) can publish content, while subscribers can only read, leave reactions and comments if enabled.
Channels are ideal for blogs, news, announcements and working with large audiences.
Conlink Messenger supports sending photos, videos, audio, PDF documents, ZIP/RAR archives and any other files. There are no format restrictions – if the file fits within the size limit, you can send it.
The current limit is 2 GB per file. Thanks to the cloud architecture, large files upload quickly and reliably – even high‑quality videos are sent without issues.
We are constantly working on increasing the limit and optimising transfer speeds.
All files are stored in a secure encrypted cloud storage. This means you can access them from any device where you are logged in – photos, documents and videos are always at hand.
We use distributed servers with backup, so your data is never lost. At the same time, file contents remain inaccessible even to us thanks to encryption.
